In partnership with Covering Kids & Families of Indiana (CKF), Opportunity Alliance is working to breakdown barriers to accessing and understanding healthcare coverage programs by providing certified benefits navigators to help individuals reach community benefits they might otherwise struggle with.
The Housing Stability Program provides short-term case management support to individuals and families experiencing housing instability. Services are intended to promote long-term housing stability and are provided based on eligibility, funding availability, and program capacity.
The White Flag Shelter is a partnership between the Homeless Coalition of Southern Indiana and Nomad Church Collective. The Shelter operates from November 15 – April 15th, offering overnight shelter for those in need during the coldest months of the year. If temperatures fall below 35 degrees during the evening hours, the shelter will open.
The Street Outreach Program works directly with individuals experiencing homelessness to remove barriers to housing and connect them with needed resources. The goal is to help individuals move from homelessness into safe, stable, long-term housing.
Since COVID-19, our organization grew beyond responding to homelessness to providing housing stability, prevention, case management, and resources to help build long-term stability. Opportunity Alliance reflects who we are today, a broader organization focused on creating opportunities for individuals and families through ongoing community collaboration and direct client support
We vision a future where each resident of Southern Indiana will have the economic opportunity, support, and resources to be financially self-sufficient and able to live in and maintain quality, affordable housing.
